Introducing Eliza Jane!

We were at the mall today and we decided it would be fun for Grace & Jack to go to the Build A Bear store. Grace made a bear there in April of 2007. Maddy, Grace and I ended up naming the bear C.O., which is short for carbon monoxide (see the April 2007 post for the history behind the bear's name)! Grace wanted to give C.O. bear to Jack so we thought it would be nice for Grace to build another stuffed animal. After looking around the store Grace carefully chose to build a cat. Grace enjoyed pressing a foot pedal to fill her cat with stuffing. She also picked out a heart, gave it a kiss, and put it inside her cat.Jack enjoyed all of the bright colors and sounds at the Build A Bear store. Jack loves his C.O. bear because it was given to him by his big sister! Grace decided to name her cat Eliza Jane. The name comes from the song Eliza Jane, which is one of Grace's favorite songs to sing right now! Grace carried Eliza Jane out of the store in this box house. Grace received so many smiles from fellow shoppers today as she proudly carried the very large box through the entire length of the mall. Here is Grace after her bath time giving Eliza Jane one of her big hugs. Grace decided that she wanted Eliza Jane to join her other friends in her big girl bed. As I was walking out of Grace's room tonight after tucking her in bed I heard Grace introduce Eliza Jane to Ella. Grace said, "Eliza Jane, this is Ella. Ella this is Eliza Jane. Ella say, "it's nice to meet you Eliza Jane!""
