Happy 40th Birthday!

The little caterpillar from the book we all know and love is 40 years old today. March 20th is designated Very Hungry Caterpillar Day! Grace & Jack made these cute fingerprint caterpillars this morning to mark this special occasion! We also celebrated by reading The Very Hungry Caterpillar.

What a great way to celebrate a long standing favorite book, and to welcome Spring! Grace and Jack, you made the cutest, friendliest caterpillar. He has a nice, big smile too. He looks like he's on the move to find some food. What will he eat first? What do you think, Grace?
See you very soon, XOXOXO,
Memere

What a wonderful tribute to Eric Carle and his amazing art and stories. He would love to see this!
We have to try to meet one summer and visit the Museum in Amherst, Massachusetts that Eric Carle and his wife founded. It is the Museum of Picture Book Art. We have to get Memere, Pepere, Allison, Steve, Rose and Kimberlee to drive there, also.
Jack and Grace, how lucky you are to have a Mommy that reads to you and shares the love of literature with you in so many ways!
Eating my way right to your hearts (just like the caterpillar!),
Love, Maddy

Got Gracie, Jack & Eve?
