Total Happiness!

From the looks of it, Grace couldn't have been any happier spending her eight week birthday with her Maddy & Poppy in Middlebury, Vermont. We are quite certain that Maddy & Poppy feel the same way too! They are madly in love with their "Gracie girl."

Amazing Grace goes to VERMONT!

Poppy & his Sweet Baby Cheeks
Grace couldn't get enough of Poppy's bright yellow Cheerios shirt. She couldn't stop looking at it. On our way back to Maine Grace told us that she thinks her Poppy is one cool dude!!

Maddy & her Gracie girl

It is so special for me to see Grace and my Mom together. They are my two favorite girls! I see so much of my Mom in Grace - everything from the shape of their eyes and mouth to their beautiful cheeks! I hope I will be the kind of mother to Grace that my Mom is to me. My wish is for Grace to grow up to be just like her Maddy. I love them both so much.

Mommy & Grace
I love you Grace - for always & forever and all the days in-between.

Daddy & Grace
Bob is the BEST father and husband. One of my favorite things is watching Bob and Grace together. He is the most caring and gentle Daddy (and definitely the funniest too!). I especially love how he sings to Grace -- he's got it covered, everything from lullabies and childrens songs to reggae and his own rap and opera renditions. He also does the best performance to the song "Gracie Girl."

Yummy!

The only thing better than the taste of fresh denim is a trip to see Maddy & Poppy in Vermont! I spent my eight week birthday with my Mommy's parents and grandparents. Of course, eating denim is a lot more conversative than a lot of stuff that goes on in the most liberal state in the Union.

I May Have Partied Too Much....

"I think I may have stayed up beyond my bedtime and drank too much milk....going to Vermont sure is fun!!!!"

Is Grace a Pirate?

Mommy & Daddy: "Grace, you are not a pirate!"
Grace: "But I wanna be a pirate!"
(Has Grace been watching Seinfeld?)
So I guess our little Grace wants to be a pirate when she grows up. She has done the "pirate look" (one eye open) since the day she was born. Grace's pediatrician told us last week that Grace, "Doesn't miss a trick." This is definitely true. Grace can be sound asleep when suddenly the slit of one of her little blue eye opens up just enough to check out what's going on around her. We think her first words might be, "Arrr, matey!" For Grace's nine week birthday we'll have to get her a patch -- a PINK eye patch of course!

Should have been a 70's child!

FLOWER POWER. Peace out.

Seven Weeks Old!

On my seven week birthday Mommy, Daddy, and I went to the big city (Portland). Mommy's cell phone should not have gone in the washing machine, but it did. Daddy said that was "not good" so we took a family trip to the Unicel store. Now that I'm practically talking by making all kinds of cooing sounds and lots of vowels I thought I was ready for my own pink Razr cell phone but Daddy said, "no cell phone" until I'm 19 - we'll see about that.

Beautiful Grace

Can anyone guess why my Poppy calls me "Sweet Baby Cheeks?"

Cock-a-doodle doo!

Mommy, what did you do to my hair?!! This is not very funny. I'm NOT a rooster. Where are my pretty hair bows and headbands from my Maddy?

Sweet Dreams

A precious dream awaits you......

Ten tiny toes

Tell me, what is half so sweet as a baby's tiny feet.
Pink and dainty as can be, like a coral from the sea.
Talk of jewels strung in rows, gaze upon those little toes.
Little feet that do not know where the winding roadways go.
Little feet, so rich with charm, may you never come to harm.

Edgar Guest from the book "Rhymes of Childhood" 1924

Our Little Houdini!

Hmmmmm.......When I woke up at six in the morning I found Grace like this in her crib. When I last left Grace with a final kiss goodnight many hours earlier she had socks on her feet and was tightly swaddled in her warm fleece blanket with another blanket on top of her for an additional layer of warmth. What happened in the crib last night??? I asked Grace how she managed to kick off her socks, swaddle, and blanket but all she did was look at me and give me one of her huge toothless grins. She will never tell!! Mommy is very puzzled. Oh well. Up all night, silly all day I guess..... :)

The Legers celebrate the Patriots improbable win over the heavily favored Chargers. Grace could barely control herself after the final seconds ticked off the clock; she celebrated in her own special way. She can't wait to see if the Pats can shut down Peyton Manning, again!

Focused on Football...

It's GAME DAY!! I'm getting ready for the big Patriots game today against the Chargers. I am PUMPED and JACKED! I'm willing to bet my pink fuzzy bear that the Pats will dispose of the Chargers like a dirty diaper.

Our Gift From Above

We feel so very fortunate every day that we have the gift of waking up to see our precious Grace - some nights we even get up many times to see her. She is a perfect little baby and we feel so privileged to be with her.

The Leger Homestead

This is the Leger fam in front of our log home in Limerick, Maine.
Since there are only approximately 2,241 people who know where Limerick is - go to http://maps.google.com/ then type in 392 Leisure Lane Limerick Maine to see where we live. There are plenty of trees and pleny of room to roam in Limerick- and we love it. Hopefully, there will be plenty of snow soon, so Daddy can go snowmobiling.

Good For Me!!!

For the very first time today I rolled from my back to my side all by myself! I have been training for this for weeks. I am focused on going to the Olympics in 2026. You can never start training too early.

My Amazing Grace

I can't believe my beautiful daughter is already six weeks old. Being a Mommy is the most wonderful feeling in the world. I am so lucky to have a perfect daughter, husband, and family. I have never been so happy!

There's nothing like getting ready for playoff football! I was so excited I could barely sleep last night.

Soooooooooo Happy!

Proudest Dad

Little Grace Bud's first visit to the Credit Union. She met a lot of nice friends - I can't wait to become a member! Everyone was so nice to me - I love York County Federal Credit Union.

Sleeping Beauty

I have a very big day ahead of me...Mommy and I are going on our first car trip together to go and visit Daddy at work. I need to get my beauty rest before the big reveal!

I'm One Month Old!

I just can't believe how much Grace has grown. She is the light of our lives. She has taught Bob and I so much about being a family and loving each other - and a little bit about projectile poop. I cherish every second with my perfect little daughter - even our late night rendezvous for feeding time. I planned on utilizing every moment as a learning opportunity; I've found that I am the student and she is the teacher - and I love every second of it.

Happy New Year!

And for my first New Years Eve - I partied all night! I ate too much, stayed up too late and screamed my brains out. I overdid it a little bit so I slept most of the day Monday. I should probably tone it down a bit next year.
I'm going to be a busy girl next year, I've got a lot of work to do - my New Years Resolutions are:
To Crawl a Bit
And Learn to Sit

Use my Signs
And Listen to Rhymes

See if I can Walk
And, of course, I can't wait to Talk!

My Car Seat and I Have Made Amends

After some initial disagreements, my car seat and I are good friends. I like sleeping in my car seat, traveling to Portland, and sometimes, just hanging out.
I got my scratch when I got so excited about eating - honestly, I just lost complete control for a second.

Got Gracie, Jack & Eve?
