Lights Out

It's not easy being three weeks old - sometimes you just have to get away from the paparazzi and get some rest.

Young Blue Eyes

This pretty headband is one of my many accessories from Maddy & Poppy. I love my headbands and hair clips, they certainly help to accentuate my many beautiful features.

Touchdown Patriots!

While most little girls went to sleep dreaming of sugar plum fairies, Grace was still celebrating the Patriots 4th AFC East title in a row.

Me & Cousin Rose

Grace's 1st Chrismas with Memere & Pepere and cousin Rose was .... well, sleepy. Grace felt right at home so she decided to take a rest from the daily grind of being a baby. Cousin Rose was a wonderful friend and Grace can't wait until they can play together. Cousin Rose was as beautiful as ever and always brings a smile to our face - she even showed us how to change a diaper!

A Very Leger Christmas

The other Legers with Grace at Bob's parents house in Leominster, Massachusetts. We had a wonderful time with my parents, my sister Allison and her husband Steve, and their beautiful daughter Rose. It was unquestionably our best Christmas ever as Grace brought many smiles to Aunt Denise as well as Rob, Gretchen and Heather Prunier. We were so happy that they could come share in our joy.

Rodin in Pink

This is little Grace in her crib, relaxed and loving the fact that life consists of 16 hours of sleep, 3 hours of eating, 1 hour of pooping and 4 hours of people ohhhing and ahhhing when you make a funny face and noise to pass gas. C'est la vie.

Precious Grace

Here is our little Princess at 14 days old - words can't describe how precious she is.

Her favorite things are a mirror, her toy butterfly from cousin Michaela, leg massages, and a clean diaper.

Mommy & Grace

Yeah, we finally got a picture of Mommy & Grace. Mommy has been the best Mom ever from the pregnancy through the delivery and now that Grace is with us. I don't know how Mommy finds the energy to do all that she does each day including singing Itsy Bitsy spider 40 times a day.

All I Want for Christmas is ...

for my Daddy to stop taking pictures of me. I mean, come on - I know I'm beautiful and he apparently has some free time since he's on vacation this week. But come on, this is getting ridiculous.
Anyway, this is me with my soft, fuzzy bear that Amelia gave me. I am so grateful to have a friend whom I can comiserate with about the paparazzi, c'est la vie.
I hope everyone is having a wonderful Holiday season.

Happy One Week

Looking into those eyes, I might as well start practicing now -
"Whatever you want Grace."

A Tribute to Abba

Ummm, I think this speaks for itself.

Maddy & Poppy

This is Maddy & Poppy Deverell on Saturday, December 9th. Maddy has stayed with us for the first week of her life and has been a tremendous help. I could never have imagined such an enthusiastic response to "Mary Ann, Grace made a poop again"!
I don't recall anyone cheering when I went to the bathroom - guess that's a topic for future therapy sessions. Walt is on the other end of the spectrum - he just doesn't have a true appreciation for a good meconium poop.

Grace's Room - Back of the Room

The more I look at this, the more I realize that my role was limited to labor. The world needs ditch diggers too. I guess the Red Sox / Patriots wasn't completely appropriate for a little girl's room, apparently.
I hope that all the time we spent making this room perfect gives us an iota of a chance that she'll sleep through the night. I hope.

Grace's Room

This is a selection of Grace's supercute outfits and dresser. Rebecca has coordinated all of the furniture, clothes, accessories and color combinations. I've been trying to figure out how many diapers will be changed on the changing table.

Graceland #1

This is Grace's room. Rebecca and Maddy have spent countless hours decorating Graceland. More time has been spent thinking about this than Dick Cheney spends thinking about which attorney to shoot next.
Every detial has been meticulously planned. Grace will be so happy to throw up here, I mean grow up here.

Proud Dad

I couldn't be happier to have the most beautiful, compassionate, and loving wife I could ever dream of. It's a gift from above to be able to look into her eyes and know that every second of my life has led to this glorious moment. I am absolutely positive that she will be the best mother in the world.

"Don't ask yourself what the world needs. Ask yourself what makes you come alive, and go do that, because what the world needs is people who have come alive."

Memere Leger

Grace has the most caring and loving granparents Rebecca and I could ever hope for. Memere and Pepere Leger live in Leominster, Massachusetts and Maddy and Poppy Deverell live in Middlebury, Vermont. Every minute we spend with them is a blessing.

Seriously?

You have FOUR cats! It's ok Grace, Memere Leger says the same thing.
Emma is excited about her new friend.
Lil' Bit is concerned Grace might cut into the food supply.
Petey is stuck to the ceiling after Grace's first cry.
Pumpkin is still sleeping.

Slightly Unhappy

This was December 5th when Grace and I found out that the Red Sox signed JD Drew for $70Million. Once we put Grace in the car she calmed down and slept the whole way home. As a Red Sox fan for life, there will be plenty more crying.

Maybeeeee a little too big

After months of planning the perfect outfit to bring home our angel in - we MAY have gone a bit large on the snowsuit. She has taught us a lot already. First and foremost, get ready to accept change.
Don't limit a child to your own learning, for he was born in another time.
Rabbinical Saying

Pure Grace

This was the first layer of Grace's going home outfit. Rebecca's Mom, Mary Ann (Maddy), found the perfect outfit for our little angel.

Time for Dress Up

Daddy went to work for the day and came back to find his little Princess was ready for her first photo shoot. I still can't believe that I am so blessed to have such a perfect child and a wife who has helped me exceed all of my life goals and dreams. I'm guessing this is the first of thousands of outfits I will go to work for.

Amazing Grace

Little Grace Mercie Leger made her appearance at Mercy Hospital in Portland, Maine at 4:09AM on Saturday, December 2nd, 2006. She entered the world as an 8 pound 13 ounce, 20 inch long beautiful bundle of perfection after 20 hours of labor. Rebecca displayed amazing strength and awe-inspiring determination every second of labor.

Got Gracie, Jack & Eve?
