Ten tiny toes

Tell me, what is half so sweet as a baby's tiny feet.
Pink and dainty as can be, like a coral from the sea.
Talk of jewels strung in rows, gaze upon those little toes.
Little feet that do not know where the winding roadways go.
Little feet, so rich with charm, may you never come to harm.

Edgar Guest from the book "Rhymes of Childhood" 1924

I love that little right toe(left in the picture)!
You'll be doing the Hokey Pokey...."put your right foot in,take your right foot out...shake it all about" before you know it.

(We LOVE the Shake it part the BEST!!)

Here is another poem for you Grace.

Toes

Someday I'll jump through puddles,
Take a stroll or win a race.
Someday I'll walk across the street,
Or maybe walk in space.
Someday I'll scale a mountain,
Or I'll join a ballet corps.
Someday I'll walk a tightrope,
Or explore the ocean floor.
Someday these feet will do some things,
That only heaven knows,
But for today they're happy
Just to wiggle all their toes.

Grace, Tell Daddy&Mommy to listen to the song "Gracie" by Ben Folds on their computer. They'll love it!
Tell them to be prepared to cry a little, though (I did).

Love, Your Maddy
