Mommy & Daddy: "Grace, you are not a pirate!"
Grace: "But I wanna be a pirate!"

So I guess our little Grace wants to be a pirate when she grows up. She has done the "pirate look" (one eye open) since the day she was born. Grace's pediatrician told us last week that Grace, "Doesn't miss a trick." This is definitely true. Grace can be sound asleep when suddenly the slit of one of her little blue eye opens up just enough to check out what's going on around her. We think her first words might be, "Arrr, matey!" For Grace's nine week birthday we'll have to get her a patch -- a PINK eye patch of course!

I don't think that you are a pirate...I think that you are winking! You just want to make sure that your family is behaving so you open one of your sweet little blue eyes just a tiny bit to see. Then you give them a little wink to let everyone know that they are doing a good job! Good for you. I think that's a sign of a future teacher! We'll have to get you a desk set(pink, of course)instead of that eye patch. Love, Your Maddy
