Today was Ezra Jack Keats birthday. Jack loved sitting next to Grace and hearing her read The Snowy Day to celebrate Keats birthday. Grace thought it would be fun to wear her winter so that she could look just like Peter in the book! Happy Birthday Ezra Jack Keats.

I think that it is so wonderfully special that you celebrate some of the children's favorite authors. Ezra Jack Keats is a tremendous writer! Jack and Grace will carry this love of books with them through their lives....they will be telling people about how when they were little they celebrated the birthdays of authors, too! What a cozy and nurturing environment they have. I adore this picture of siblings sharing and loving!!
