Livin' the Life in Limerick

We received this picture from Bob's cell phone. So unbelievably cute! Beans and cheese by headlamp.

Adorable! Gracie Girl looks unscathed and like a resilient, hearty, Mainer gal indeed…. It sounds like Rebecca and Bob have also been flexible, yielding and adaptable making the best of the ice storm. I suspect Gracie Girl is learning a lot about resourcefulness, emergency preparedness and improvising in her own ways this week. The photo makes me want to hum “this little light of mine I’m going to let it shine….” And that is indeed what Gracie girl does each day of her life…. Sending more blessings and wishes for a happy reunion with Maddy and Pops who are due to arrive later today and to join Grace and her parents in “the art of adaptive living….” as they share family time.

I was with out power only for two days & two cold nights and find in the face of these sorts of disabling storms I am reminded of the abundance, resource and blessings I have in my life through access to clean water with the turn of a faucet, sanitation with the flush of a handle, easy access to a variety of warm nutritious foods, decent shelter, various means of communication, safe transportation, the love and connection of caring friends and family and electricity at the flip of a switch as well as all that electricity and technology entails in our current day society. I am struck at how easily the day-to-day modern conveniences and resources integrated into daily life can be assumed and taken for granted until I am reminded in storms and times such as this. I have such appreciation for all the folks working feverishly to restore things to normal. I am also humbled with deep gratitude in the blessings and the beautiful aspects and resilience of the human spirit, including yours Ledger family…. I send wishes for restored power to your home sooner than later. Sending positive energy your way especially for today with family joining you in the adventure and tomorrow with the arrival of baby Jack.

Hugs and gratitude, Marie

It is clear that Gracie Girl is truly enjoying her latest adventure! Oh, the stories she'll have for Maddy and Poppy! You are all amazing... Here's hoping tomorrow will bring light, warmth, Baby Jack, joy, and a long, hot shower for the new Mom... Bless you all!
Hugs from VT,
Donna

Although we have differences in culture, but do not want is that this view is the same and I like that!
