Learning & Playing Together

We all stayed in our cozy pajamas this morning and had a great time playing and learning together. Grace practiced sorting fruits and vegetables into separate baskets. Grace helped Jack touch each fruit and vegetable prior to sorting them. Grace also told Jack the name of each item. This was a very special moment for me to watch my two children learning together. Grace was so gentle and kind to Jack. Grace is such a wonderful big sister and she will also be a wonderful teacher & role model to Jack. Jack loved every moment of the sorting activity with his big sister this morning. He always lights up when he sees Grace's face and hears her voice.

How wonderful that everyone was interacting and benefiting from their learning experience. Grace especially will double her potential by reinforcing her knowledge by helping Jack discover his own. By participating in teaching Grace will get an additional perspective about her lessons. By observing his sister and trying it out himself Jack will get so much help growing. It's great to see.

We think that we have the sweetest grandchildren. There is nothing more special than watching your two children loving each other. I spent the day with Adam today and he was asking about every detail of my trip. I could see the love and pride that he has for you, Rebecca. What a joy for a mother's heart. You will find this to be such a heartwarming part of motherhood, dear Rebecca. I am so happy that you are experiencing these moments. Life is so very good to us. Enjoy, enjoy your little ones.
