Earth Crayons!

Grace made these beautiful earth crayons yesterday. We peeled the paper off of several blue and green crayons and then broke them into smaller pieces. We placed the crayon pieces into small paper cups and put them in the oven on 200 degrees for approximately ten minutes. After letting the crayons cool for one hour we peeled the paper cups away to reveal these beautiful earth crayons.

Grace and Jack used their earth crayons to color their paper globes to celebrate Earth Day today!

Great acknowledgment of recognizing the importance of protecting and valuing the environment during Earth Day. It is Grace and Jack's generation that truly will make a positive impact for our planet I believe.

Building an awareness of the beauty of the Earth is such a contribution to the future. Thinking forward and creatively :)
Grace already knows about color combinations; this activity ties in with that and connects it with nature. Another great idea!
