It was 94 degrees here today ~ a record high. Jack stayed cool this afternoon by playing outside with his water mat (thank you Cousin Rose & Kimberlee!). Grace & I added lots of cool water to Jack's mat. I also added some marbles to the mat in order to increase the tactile/sensory input for Jack as he was playing. Grace added some silver glitter to the water too (she couldn't resist!). Jack loves his water mat. This was a great sensory activity for Jack and the perfect way for him to keep cool on this very hot day.

I could never-ever get enough of those sweet baby feet of Jack's. I love the water mat. It was and will be so perfect for the hot summer. I will need to get one, too, if this weather keeps up!
You can't even imagine how much I am missing Grace and Jack. I am missing Bob and tomorrow-Birthday-Girl-Rebecca!, also.

Alright Jack way to stay cool buddy! Tell Grace that I almost thought the water was "real" because of her addition of sprinkles.
