Viewing the Washington Monument from the Lincoln Memorial
The reflecting pool was under construction while we were visiting Washington D.C. but the view of the Washington Monument and Capitol Hill was still so beautiful!

I think I remember hearing that the reflecting pool was under construction...but, I only remembered it after hearing that fact from you.
Look at that sky. I'm so glad that you had such nice weather and not that horrible heat and humidity that we warned you about! There's nothing like that area of the country in Summer for humidity. I just don't know how the Obama's do it down there!!
Through the eyes of a child - what does she ponder as she sees this imposing man, this space and this sea of humanity?
For all we know it could be very simple - I wish there were water in the reflecting pool, and maybe, just maybe, I could wade in it, or, it could be prophetic - I am Grace and I stand tall.
Bottom line, it's inspiring and thought provoking.
