Saturday in Vermont: Saying Goodbye

We spent our last morning in Vermont at the Middlebury Farmer's Market. Just before we left for Maine, Jack & Grace were excited to explore real railroad tracks!

Thank you so very much to Maddy and Poppy for an unforgettable visit. We loved every moment that we spent with you. We will definitely be talking about all of the fun times we had during our week with you until we come back for the Festival on the Green week next July!

We live for this week every year!

I can't say enough good things about how wonderful it is to have you here for this one week each Summer. I often find myself daydreaming about what it would be like to have you live in Middlebury. I have lots of friends that have their family living close by or even right next door. What it must be like to just decide that I could make a treat on the spur of the moment and bring it over, or have the Grandchildren over for a tea party luncheon, or sit and read a new book that I cannot wait to share that same day, or be with the kiddos so Bob & Rebecca could enjoy an impromptu dinner out, or be able to try on that new item that I'm sewing to make certain that it fits just right and you haven't grown an inch or two overnight, or to just take a walk together when the feeling strikes.

All of that and much more are why I love The Festival on the Green week here in Middlebury, Vermont so much...because I can have all of that. Our times together are so special because there is always that five hour drive between us. But nothing can spread out my love for each of you. So, for one week a year, I can hold dear in my heart until the next time.
Love MaddyMom

ps--Rebecca, how I L♡ve having you here for our girl talk and moments with you that we share.
