Fun With Magnet Pictures & Names

It's another rainy day here in Maine so Grace spent most of the morning playing with her activity bags. One of Grace's favorite bags is the one seen here. Maddy cut out the faces of our family members (and Ella too!) and put them on magnetic paper. The magnets stick to a cookie sheet. This morning Grace worked on matching the printed names of our family members to their picture. Grace can identify and read the printed names Ella, Uncle Adam, and Grace from a long list of words! When I extend the first sound of the other names (e.g., "Which one says Mmmm-mommy?") Grace can identify the printed name from a choice of three choices. Once Grace identified the printed name, she placed it under the correct picture.

Okay, I know that most people are probally thinking, "this little girl cannot match words to pictures" but I have to say, "Yes, it is so true and better yet, Grace loves and craves it!". Grace is such a learner and wants to learn new things every day. I think that it is Rebecca's gentle and loving approach to Grace's wants and needs that I love the most! Rebecca is such a gifted and special mother to such a creative and smart little girl. They know each other so well. My heart beams with joy and love. Keep growing together.
I Love You My Two Girls,

Dear Grace and Rebecca,
I love the new look of your blog... You two are incredible! The enriching, fun activities you share each day are wonderful! I can't wait to see you match your baby brother's name to his picture! You have so much to teach him!
Hugs from Vermont,
Donna xoxo
