Enjoying a Native American Festival at the Wildlife Park

We enjoyed our day at the Maine Wildlife Park where we were very fortunate to experience a Native American Pow Wow. Representatives of several Native American tribes were at the park with dancers, drummers, craft vendors, singers and traditional food booths. This was an exciting opportunity for Grace to learn more about Maine’s Native Americans. Grace couldn't have been any more excited to sing and dance to the beat of the drums. Grace and Daddy even joined in on a traditional Native American dance!
As always, Grace enjoyed all of the animals at the Wildlife Park. Below, Grace takes a peek over the fence at the beautiful peacocks. Grace makes a perfect peacock sound and surprisingly the peacocks are the loudest animals at the park. You can hear them from miles away! Grace takes a little time off from looking at all of the animals to give Mommy and Ella some of her very best Eskimo kisses!

Isn't it just wonderful to learn about history and other cultures? We are so glad that Grace is having these experiences. We could imagine that Grace LOVED the drums and the dancing. So sorry, that we missed Daddy and Grace dancing! We didn't know how loud a peacock sound was...love to learn new things from Grace!
Mommy and Grace are beautiful and sweet giving Eskimo kisses to each other.
More Kisses than All the Eskimos gave give!

Grace, your smile and fun-loving spirit lifts the hearts of all those who see you. We are so happy that you had so much fun with the animals and with the show.
Rose is looking at the pictures with me and she says that she would love to play and dance with you when you get together.
Love from all of us,
