Enjoying a Beautiful Day at the Park

After Grace's swimming lesson this morning we enjoyed a beautiful sunny afternoon at Deering Oaks Park. Grace found the last of the dandelion flowers. Grace's favorite color is yellow and she is the best dandelion flower finder!
Grace and Ella enjoyed finding bugs in the grass. We spotted a very large black beetle, several daddy long leg spiders, ladybugs, and ants.
Grace had fun walking and splashing through all of the rain puddles!

I really love these series of photographs of my niece. How inspirational it is to watch Grace be so in the moment and interacting with her environment. It is fascinating to me to watch her be so fascinated by such small details that can be easily overlooked. I also love the coincidence of Grace take swimming lessons during the same time that an American athlete is breaking world records in swimming events at the Summer Olympics. Go Grace and go TEAM USA!
Love, Uncle Adam
P.S Love the new blog design.

What a way to spend a much-needed sunny afternoon. I can just see Grace finding all the tiny and not-so-tiny bugs. I bet that Grace is helping you enjoy insects more these days, Rebecca! I know that all of your days are full of beautiful sunshine no matter what the weather with Grace. She is Amazing!
Love through all the clouds, puddles, raindrops and sun, Maddy XO

PS~ I also couldn't help but notice how Grace's pretty dress matched your new blog look!

Grace, you can find yellow flowers faster than anyone I know. You would love visiting the man who lets his yard fill up with dandelions. What fun you would have there!
If you love looking at insects, there is a wide, wide world of them out there. You will have a lot to look at and to compare.
How wonderful that you enjoy nature! May that never change.
Love you to bits,
Memere

Walking, splashing in puddles looks like so much fun. What did you see, Grace, when you were looking at your feet in the water? Did you see the circles you made, the water jumping up from the ground? Were you listening to the sound your feet were making? You are so observant!
And I love how your Mommy and Daddy encourage you to explore and give you the time to do that. The gift of time is precious.
Love you,
Memere
