Wednesday in Vermont: Tick Tock

On Wednesday morning Poppy, Grace and Jack got together for a very special project. Poppy gathered several of his old clocks for Grace and Jack to take apart! Grace and Jack loved this project. Grace enjoyed examining all of the tiny pieces inside of the clocks to determine how a clock works. Jack especially loved the tools and the process of disassembling the clocks. This was a fascinating project and it is definitely one that we will be replicating at our home too! Thank you, Poppy.

too hot in Vermont!, said...

Oh, my, this is my 4th attempt to leave this message....yesterday, I think it was just too hot for blogger to work!

About a month ago Poppy exclaimed that he had two clocks that he wanted to take apart when Jack and Grace visited. It was priceless watching the three of them working together to dismantle the clocks.

I'll never forget Jack stating on his first night here at bedtime...that Poppy has too many clocks. I know he felt a little overwhelmed and apprehensive about sleeping with click faces all around! But, it didn't take any time at all for Jack to become best friends with Poppy's clocks.

Love to all, Maddy

Jace looks too cute here. He looks like his Poppy....when Poppy was little. Grace looks so tall now. She is definitely a little girl now and not a toddler. too cute. I would love to pinch little Eve's cheeks. Too cute. Love you guys.

Great fun with the clocks that morning. Both Jack & Grace were really into the clocks. It's one thing to take them apart. It is quite another to put them back together again. We did fine in taking them apart. Alas, we did not put them back together again. Sorta like Humpty Dumpty.

(In some of the pictures it looks like Jack may be a leftie.)
