Making Salt Dough Valentine Hearts

Grace made salt dough this morning. Grace did an excellent job scooping, measuring, pouring, and mixing all of the ingredients. Grace and I cooked the salt dough on our stove for a few minutes and then let it cool.
Once the salt dough cooled Grace added lots & lots & lots (!) of red and silver glitter to make it extra sparkly.
Grace, Jack, and I all used our hands to flatten out the salt dough. Grace then used a heart cookie cutter to make Valentine hearts.
Grace helped me use a stamp to stamp the letters "J" for Jack and "G" for Grace into the sparkly Valentine hearts. We will be going to Daddy's workplace tomorrow where Grace and Jack will hand out the hearts to Daddy and his coworkers to celebrate Valentine's Day!

These glittery sparkly hearts are amazing! What a treat for Daddy and the people at his work to receive one tomorrow. They will LOVE them. Rebecca, yet another terrific idea! Grace looks extra cute and special in all of her hearts. What a hard worker she is. I loved reading how much math and science was incorporated into this activity ~ all the measuring, scooping and mixing. In~Love with this!
Love the hearts this week and Rebecca, Grace and Jack,
Maddy XO

Imagine that! And imagine how delighted and uplifted all these lucky recipients will be! Even the people witnessing or hearing about this giving will be (are) lifted up. These hearts and the thoughtfulness that accompany them are spectacular.
I can't wait to see the pictures on the blog.
XOXOXO,
