Grace had fun playing and experimenting with oobleck (corn starch & water) this afternoon. She especially enjoyed hiding her farm animals in a muffin tin and covering them with the oobleck mixture. Grace also used food coloring to make a variety of oobleck colors. Grace learned how to make the oobleck turn from a liquid to a solid by exerting pressure using a variety of objects including her hands, a spoon, and the farm animals.

A Fun Afternoon With Oobleck!
Grace had fun playing and experimenting with oobleck (corn starch & water) this afternoon. She especially enjoyed hiding her farm animals in a muffin tin and covering them with the oobleck mixture. Grace also used food coloring to make a variety of oobleck colors. Grace learned how to make the oobleck turn from a liquid to a solid by exerting pressure using a variety of objects including her hands, a spoon, and the farm animals.

I Love Oobleck, also! What a fun afternoon you two had. Experimenting with liquids and solids, hiding and finding farm animals, being a bit messy and then working together to clean up...I can't think of anything better! I love the fun learning times that you two have. I think that the look on Grace's face says it all!

PS~We received your beautiful birthday invitation yesterday in the mail. It is lovely and Poppy and I cannot wait to come to your "snow" party. When we looked outside this morning there was snow everywhere! Counting the days :)
