Homemade Valentines

Gracie girl had a Valentine's Day party at her preschool last Tuesday. Grace & Jack worked together to make these heart crayons for everyone at the preschool.

Grace & Jack first chose different colored crayons and soaked them in a bowl of hot water to loosen the wrappers.

Grace spent hours carefully taking the wrapper off of each crayon. After all of the wrappers were removed Grace broke the crayons into small pieces.

Jack & Grace then placed the crayon pieces into individual silicone hearts.

We baked the crayons in the oven on 270 degrees for about ten minutes. Once the crayons cooled Grace taped the crayons onto paper hearts that said, "You color my world!"

Grace worked so hard to make these Valentines for her new friends at school and I couldn't be more proud of her!

I just love this activity! And, yet just another incredible idea.

I know what hard-workers Jack and Grace are. I can see Grace working hours on this sweet gift for her new friends at school. Her friends must have felt very special to receive her crayon heart. I so adore homemade Valentines. I'll be on the look-out for more of those silicone molds for your family.

Roo and Gracie Girl are just about as pretty {Yes, Jack is pretty!} as can be in these photos. I love seeing how they worked together.

My heart♥ is full of the most beautiful colors because of Jack, Eve, and Grace. I Love Them!

What an amazing heartfelt activity! Rebecca, you have the best ideas for kids! I must admit that I'm writing many of them down to one day borrow to use during therapy [or eventually with my own kids]! What a happy, active place the Leger home is!
