Grace turned 18 months old today. Grace spent some of the morning at her pediatrician's office for her 18 month old wellness visit. Grace now weighs 24.5 pounds (55th percentile) and is 32.25 inches long (75th percentile). The biggest change that we have seen with Grace over the past month has been an explosion of her speech and language skills. Grace is pronouncing words much clearer and most of her utterances are now 2 words in length! We have even heard several 3 word phrases (e.g., "big black dog," "big blue ball," "my turn please") and for the first time today Grace combined four words together ("very, very itchy nose"). As always, we are so proud of all of Grace's accomplishments and so grateful for her kind & gentle spirit. After Grace's appointment we celebrated her big day at one of her favorite places - The Maine Wildlife Park. Grace is such a sweet, caring, and kind little girl. She was willing to give up her her favorite possession in the entire world (Ella) to the ducks so they could enjoy the pleasure of her pink elephant too. When the ducks would not take Ella, Grace proceeded to follow them to their pond while calling out "quack, quack" and "Ella" to the ducks.

Hi Gracie Girl:
Congratulations on your 18-month old birthday. I'm glad to know you had quite the adventure. To Maddy and me, you are at the 100+ percentile. We are so looking forward to hearing all about your adventures in your own words.
Love,
Poppy
Amazing Grace! You are now 1 and a half years old! It is simply unbelieveable how time goes by so fast! She has grown by leaps and bounds, intllectually, emotionally and physically! We love all the new pictures from the lakes! She has fun every day with all new adventures! She is a very lucky girl to have the family that she does! She is so loved and so well cared for! Lots of hugs, kisses and loves from the Zalimas Family of 4 and 2 dogs!
It is quite remarkable to me that a year and a half has gone so quickly, Grace. I am so proud of your spirit. It is nice to be pretty and fantastic to be bright and smart but what is in your heart is what is most important. To be a kind, generous, empathic and loving person is what it is all about in our world. I always remember when your Mommy and Uncle Adam brought their report cards home, I always looked on the side that described their attitude and personality before I looked at their grades. It was always most important for me to have them be the very best person that they could. They always were and they continue to be! I can see that you, Grace will be a good, nurturing and strong person----that makes my heart just sing with joy!
Grace, a joy shared is a joy doubled. Happy 1 1/2 birthday, special girl!
How much I love you and your infectious spirit,
Maddy
