We celebrated Maine Maple Sunday last weekend. This event is held every year on the fourth Sunday in March and it is the day when sugarmakers around the state of Maine open the doors of their sugarhouses for the public to join them in their rites of spring --making maple syrup! Grace and Jack loved visiting the sugarhouse and learning how sap transforms into maple syrup. They also enjoyed sitting on a large John Deere tractor, petting farm animals, and meeting new people. This is an event we look forward to every year!

Loving Maine Maple Sunday, even though it's really difficult to think about syrup coming from anywhere else than Vermont!!
When I was driving up I saw signs that read "sap house this way->" I thought sap house! We call it a sugar house here in Vermont! Love the different way things are said and done in different states!
Jack and Grace must have loved all that sweet steamy goodness. I think that the John Deere tractor was the highlight for them. Another wonderful time together as a family, sharing, learning and loving. Love, Maddy
