Crayon Resist Art

Grace has been enjoying creating crayon resist art projects recently. This type of art has created many interesting discussions because it has also been a great science experiment because it demonstrates how different materials interact with one another. Grace was so excited to create a secret message for me today. When she painted over the message she wrote with her oil pastel crayons it read, "I love you Mommy."

Books

Jack loves books and some of his favorite books right now are by Richard Scarry. Jack especially enjoys the Busytown book series because he thinks that Mr. Frumble is so funny!

The Eyes Have It

This picture of Eve was taken today as she was watching Jack blow bubbles. I am so fascinated by Eve's eyes because they are so beautiful and always so full of feeling and emotion.

Click & Clack

When Maddy visited us two weeks ago she got Grace, Jack and Eve two new pets while she was here. We'll introduce you to Click & Clack soon! :)

Salt Paintings

Grace and Jack chose dark construction paper and painted designs on their paper with glue. Next, they sprinkled salt onto their glue designs and shook off the excess. Grace and Jack then filled their paint brushes with watercolor paint and gently touched the salt with their brushes. They magically watched the color 'run' along their salt pathways! It was also fun to watch two primary colors run together to make a secondary color along the pathways.

Growing!

Eve had her two month old wellness visit with her pediatrician last week. Eve now weighs 13 pounds and 7 ounces. She is growing so quickly!

Spring Has Arrived!

Maddy

Maddy was with us over the past few days. We all had the most wonderful visit with her, which was filled with so many good laughs and lots of fun from beginning to end! I will be sharing a few more pictures of Maddy showing a glimpse into some of the very special times we shared together.

Deer

We woke up one morning last week to find this beautiful deer in our front yard. It was a wonderful opportunity to talk to my trio about the many wild animals that live in the fields and forests around our house.

As a side note -- Maddy is here with us!!! Maddy arrived yesterday and she will be with us for the next few days. Hooray. I'll be back over the weekend with some new pictures. Until then, enjoy the end of your week.
