We had a very fun day at Ogunquit Beach today. Grace couldn't wait to change into her bathing suit before hitting the waves - so she ran straight into the surf fully clothed! Grace showed her love of the water and courage by running right into waves that were so high they sprayed cold Atlantic Ocean water into her face and hat.....and Grace loved every moment of it! Grace was equally thrilled once we put her bathing suit on and she played in the sand. Grace exhibited exceptional fine motor skills and sequencing by spooning sand into a small container, pouring sand from the small container into a big container, then pouring sand from the big container onto the ground so she could use plates to make sand pies....and she didn't even try to eat the sand pies. The pies must have been delicious because her friend Zoe (a small doll Grace brought to the beach) ate about twelve of her sand pies.

Dearest Grace,
You look so sweet at Ogunquit Beach.
It is our favorite place to go. We have never been there in July--bet it was a different place with all the summer people.
We know you are a singer, dancer, artist, veterinarian, musician, builder, architect, teacher but now we can add baker to the list. The sand pies sound so yummy. We would love one (made by you, of course!).
We are getting ready for your visit---we have so many fun things, activities, projects, trips, and events planned! We can hardly wait.
Hint::You will be a butterfly expert after your visit.
Until then, our most precious little sand pie.......
We love, love, love you more than all the grains of sand on Ogunquit Beach.
