Outside: It's Raining, It's Pouring...

We were expecting a big snowstorm today but it ended up being too warm to snow ~ it rained all day instead. So, we decided to bring some of winter inside and we created our very own snow party. I brought Grace & Jack's picnic table inside our kitchen and filled it with cotton balls, snowflakes, and animals. This was a fun sensory activity for Grace & Jack and it brought a little bit of winter back to Limerick, Maine (we haven't had any significant snowfall in weeks). The best part was that no hats, mittens, thermals, snowsuits, scarves, heavy socks, and boots were required!! Let it snow!

What a perfect idea!
Jack & Grace should have been here, all your rain was our snow. We have lots.

Rebecca, you have the best ideas. I would have loved to hear all the conversations that occurred. I am so glad that those animals were under the loving and helpful care of Grace and Jack. Nothing like a snowstorm right in your very own kitchen.
Happy that you are all safe, cozy and warm.
Love, Maddy

What a cute idea. We still have snow on the ground from our two big snowstorms and we are supposed to get more. We have had snow on the ground since the beginning of Feb. and that is unusual for us. Enjoy the kiddos.
Love,
Aunt Melinda
PS, I think Jack looks like your dad.

Got Gracie, Jack & Eve?
