Earlier this week we discussed what type of landscape painting we wanted to paint. We took many walks outside and were inspired by what we see around us everyday -- farm land! To create our own farm landscape paintings we began by cutting pieces of card stock paper into four sections. While studying landscape pictures this week, we noticed the layers of color and line and we wanted to create this in our own paintings. Grace, Jack and Eve used a variety of painting materials to paint the paper sections blue, green, yellow and brown. Once the paint dried they glued their farm landscape pieces onto a piece of colored construction paper and added details using more paint with their fingers, Q-tips, paint brushes and cotton balls. I love how much Grace, Jack and Eve enjoyed this project. Their abstract farm landscape paintings are so beautiful.

These paintings look like museum pieces. So colorful, such variety of materials and color. A treat for the eyes.
Additionally and importantly, what observation and learning
transpired during their creations!
Great project for all!
