Color & Shape Patterns

Grace has been learning about ABAB (repeating) color and shape patterns. Grace really enjoys making patterns. She has been using a variety of manipulatives to make patterns and her favorites include using Unifix cubes, colored blocks, crayons, and bear counters. Today, Grace enjoyed using her Unifix cubes and blocks to make colored train and tower patterns ~ she did an excellent job and we were both very proud of her accomplishments!

Oh, I wish that there was more time for our visit because I would have loved to see Grace build her ABAB patterns. By the time we come next Grace will be on to ABCABC, ABABCABABC and so many more complex patterns! Grace, you are such a terrific mathematician. We are so proud of your math work. You look so grown-up, just like a school girl. Have a super-duper weekend in the middle of October. Missssssing you sooooooo much!
I Love You,
Maddy
