A Big Trip for a Big Girl!

Mommy & Grace visited Maddy & Poppy in Middlebury, Vermont for a few days and arrived back in Maine just in the nick of time before the big Noreaster storm hits us with over a foot of snow. Grace had the best time in Vermont -- she sure was one busy girl. She visited Maddy's school yesterday for the very first time. Grace was initially greeted at the door by her beaming Maddy and two adorable children, Annie & Brandon. The three of them proudly escorted Grace down the hall to their classroom where all of the children welcomed Grace with large smiles and made her feel so special by singing her two songs. Grace met so many wonderful people at Maddy's school. A very big thank you to Donna, Sarah, Elsie, Sally, Donna W, Diane, Beth, Jenn, Ursula, Mary, Tena, Jodi, Jim, Laura, Marci, Liz, & Jessica for meeting Grace and for being so kind to her. She can't wait to see everyone again on her next visit!

Grace was full of smiles for her Maddy & Poppy. Maddy surprised Grace with many new outfits (with matching hair bows of course!), books, and toys. Maddy also taught Grace how to sing all of the short vowel sounds. Poppy helped Grace sit, stand, and walk. He also gave Grace her night time massage. Poppy came home early from work both nights to play with Grace, which is a near impossible feat during tax season. She sure is one lucky girl. Thank you Maddy & Poppy for an unforgettable visit. Grace also visited Great-Grandma & Great Pop-Pop today. They were truly amazed how much Grace has grown!

BIG NEWS - Grace rolled over from her back to her tummy for the first time in Vermont. At first I thought it was a fluke until Grace proceeded to roll over four more times. When we arrived back in Maine Grace continued to roll over again and again and again! I couldn't wait for Grace to show this to her Daddy. We are all amazed by her strength.

Happy St. Patrick's Day
Wow, Grace on Valentine's Day we had a big snowstorm and now on St. Patrick's Day we are in the middle of another one! What is that all about? I am sure that your Daddy is loving having spring snow--a few more rides on the snowmobile!

We had the BEST visit with you. You have grown so much that we are just amazed. You are so smart and strong. Poppy is a new man now! Which means, that he can get through his 12 hour, seven days a week tax season with a bounce in his step after being with you!!! I had to almost pull him off the ceiling this morning as he spoke non-stop about you!

Coming to school was a delight for me. All of my friends loved meeting you. They felt that they already knew you because I talk about you all the time. The children welcomed you because they know you, too! How happy they were to see "Mrs. Deverell's" baby!!

Great Grandma & Great Pop-Pop love you SO much. How wonderful for you to have GREAT GRANDPARENTS. It is so special. Great Grandma keeps saying that you are just something--so strong, so alert, so beautiful, and SO knowing what you want! They can't stop talking about you....we have talked 5 times since you left!

My Dearest Rebecca, I loved our time together. You are amazing! I also think that you are so beautiful(outside and in!),so strong,so loving and so in tune to Grace's needs! I am very proud of you. I can't tell you enough what a joy it is for me to watch my daughter being a Mommy to her daughter. I LOVE YOU. Mom

Come back again soon, Grace. It will (hopefully) be spring and we can go for long walks in your stroller around Middlebury. Next time we won't have to send you off because a big Noreaster is pushing you back to Maine!
SHAMROCKS and my best love, Maddy

PS..I can still see you rolling over on our rug, hear your sweet talk, smell your delicious baby smell and feel the softest skin and hair ever...

We missed being with you Bob! Love, Mad

Congratulations, Grace! Another amazing feat! Your talents are endless. We are clapping out loud and hope that you can hear it all the way there in Limerick. Your Dad couldn't wait to get home to be with you and your Mom. That was a long, long ride home in a snowstorm, but there was golden treasure waiting for him at the end. Happy St. Patrick's Day to you, your Mom, and your Dad.

Got Gracie, Jack & Eve?
