Art Walk

Every evening at Grace's school this week is an Art Walk.  The Art Walk is designed to celebrate the art work created by all of the students in the school.  Families are invited to view the art pieces, which are displayed on the walls up and down the hallways.  Each child in the school chose one piece of their art to display.

Grace couldn't wait to get home from school yesterday afternoon, eat dinner and then go back to school to take us on the Art Walk.  Grace wanted to get dressed up for this occasion so she changed from her school clothes into her butterfly Easter dress and plaid sneakers...oh, how I love these children of mine!   :)

Here is Grace describing how she chose warm colors for her abstract art piece and the painting and stamping technique that she used.

Here is Grace's masterpiece!

This was such a special evening for me.  I love the arts and I am so thankful that my children do too.

Grace, your painting is beautiful! I love your color choices, and the use of both brush and stamping. Your art work has vibrancy and movement, a powerful combination.
Congratulations on your first Art Show!

You look so pretty! It was an evening to celebrate you, the artist, and the other young artists from your school, and you looked beautiful.

How nice that your family could share in this evening! And they couldn't have asked for a better tour guide.

Love to you and to all the family,
Memere

Just like an Art Museum! I couldn't help but notice how Grace's piece matched her colors in her photo underneath. I'm not surprised Grace choose warm colors...she has such a 'warm' personality.

It must have been so special to go back to school after dinner for your family. I can hear all the talk!

Sometimes [most days!] I really have to stop and take a deep breath and attempt to realize that Grace is almost through one whole year of school all ready!
Mr. Jack will be there before you know it--he looks so tall in the photo. And, I have to say, that Eve looks just like a little European Girl in the photo! Love those three!!

I am thrilled that Grace, Jack, and Eve love the Arts, too! So is Poppy!
We Love You All,
Maddy
