Eve loves fine motor activities so I thought it would be fun for her to make a jack-o'-lantern pumpkin mask. Eve finds jack-o'-lantern pumpkins to be quite funny -- I think it is because of the word "Jack." Every time Eve hears the word "jack-o'-lantern she laughs and says, "Big guy," which is what she calls her brother!
I gave Eve a piece of orange construction paper and had her rip it into strips and then into smaller pieces.
Eve used a glue stick to glue the pieces of orange paper onto a paper plate.
Eve enjoyed spreading the glue on her plate using her fingers too.
Here is Eve's finished jack-o'-lantern mask. She had fun all morning playing peek-a-boo with it and she couldn't wait to show it to "Big Guy" Jack when he returned home from Broadturn Farm!

I can hear Eve's laughter right through these photos. She has the best little laugh and is very funny.
I'm so happy that you have this time alone with Eve to do special projects. The Jack-o-lantern is as cute as can be.
There's just something about Eve, isn't there!?!! She is a petite bundle of joy and a love-bug with her own thoughts and such a sense of not being 'taken-over' by an older sister and brother!! Love the way that works out.
Love to Eve and Kindergarten Gracie and Pre-School Jack!

Don't you just love how Eve is so pleased and surprised by the most ordinary things. If we could all live like that, what a great life it would be.
Love you lots,
Memere
