We're Ready for this Blizzard!

We have two handsome snow blowers.

We have one very excited snow shoveler....

...and an official snow measurer.

We are prepared as we can be for this storm!
I'll post more pictures tomorrow!

Snow Lovin' Poppy said...

Hello you hearty Mainers:

There's a great poem by John Greenleaf Whittier (Snow Bound) that starts out:

The sun that brief December day
Rose cheerless over hills of gray,
And, darkly circled, gave at noon
A sadder light than waning moon.

It certainly looks like Maine took the brunt of the storm. Here in Middlebury, we "only" got about 8 inches of snow.
Oh, how I like a good snowfall. It covers everything.
Stay warm, drink hot chocolate, and enjoy!

Love, Walt/Dad/Poppy
