There's a great poem by John Greenleaf Whittier (Snow Bound) that starts out:
The sun that brief December day Rose cheerless over hills of gray, And, darkly circled, gave at noon A sadder light than waning moon.
It certainly looks like Maine took the brunt of the storm. Here in Middlebury, we "only" got about 8 inches of snow. Oh, how I like a good snowfall. It covers everything. Stay warm, drink hot chocolate, and enjoy!
