Making "Thankful Leaves"
Grace and Jack used markers and marker dots to color coffee filters autumn leaf colors this morning. They had a great time blending the colors on the coffee filters together by using spray bottles filled with water. Once the filters dry I will cut each one into a maple leaf shape. Every morning Grace and Jack will choose a leaf and I will write something that they are thankful for onto their leaf. We will hang the thankful leaves onto a small tree branch each day -- this will become the centerpiece of our Thanksgiving table this year to remind us just how very much we have to be thankful for.

I can't wait to read about their responses. They are so good about noticing both the little and the big things, and their value system tends to be more simple and immediate than adults.
Last year, you had the Gratitude
Box. When I went to your house, I loved to read the entries. Inspirational. Awesome.
I know that we are exceedingly grateful for our family, who they are and what they do. Tree branches would bend over under the weight of our grateful leaves.
Love, hugs, and kisses,

OOooohhhh, Memere, how profound....
you said it perfectly!
I am always inspired by Grace, Jack, Rebecca, and Bob.
Their family is full of such sweet love.
Please, share some of Jack's + Grace's words with us.
Love and Joyful Thankful Times,
