Grace's Butterfly Project

To make her special butterfly project Grace first painted a canvas the color of the sky. Grace then used watercolor paint to paint a piece of watercolor paper. Once the watercolor paint dried Grace used a butterfly hole punch to make butterflies. Grace then bent the butterflies in the center and added glue to one of the wings and pressed it onto the canvas. I love how Grace's butterflies look as though they are flying.

Eve's Butterfly Project

Eve loved having her feet painted blue to create "footer-flies!" After Eve's feet were painted she pressed her footprints onto a piece of paper to create a sweet butterfly!

Five Months Old

Our sweet baby girl turns five months old today. Eve had three favorite things: talking (lots!), standing and watching EVERYTHING that goes on around her. Eve's big, bright, beautiful blue eyes don't miss a thing!!! Eve has added so much joy, love and happiness to our family and I love how much Grace & Jack adore her. Eve loves Grace and Jack so much and she saves some of her biggest smiles just for them. Happy five months, sweet Eve.

Ogunquit Beach

Memorial Day Morning

We attended Scarborough's Memorial Day parade on Monday morning.

For those of you who know our Jack-a-roo, he LOVES trucks. You can imagine how very excited he was to watch the firetrucks line up prior to the beginning of the parade!

Grace loved sitting on the sidewalk and taking in all of the sights, sounds and people during the parade.

Jack had the best view of the parade!

Gracie girl watching the parade!

Jack and Grace sat perfectly still as the firetrucks drove by!!!!

Sweet Eve slept peacefully during her first Memorial Day parade.

Thank you to all of our service men and women, past and present for your courage, sacrifice and service to our great country. We honored you on this day.

Grace's End of the Year Preschool Ceremony

Grace and her preschool class were very excited to have their family and friends gather together Thursday evening. We were invited to see the class perform songs and dances and to watch a slideshow showing all of the hard work the class had done throughout the school year. Grace and her classmates each made their own shirt to wear during the ceremony. In the picture above Grace's teacher, Ms. Janai, is helping Grace put on her shirt prior to the performance.
Grace looked so sweet in her handmade shirt and her tutu. Grace wore this very same tutu for her first birthday too! You can click here and here to see.

Grace and her classmates did a great job showing us all that they had learned throughout the year at preschool. As always, we are so incredibly proud of our Amazing Grace.

Sandy Toes!

This is a sure sign that summer is near. Part of living in Maine and living so close to so many beaches is having sandy feet! We enjoyed a beautiful week here in Maine, including several days at the beach. We are so thankful that some warmer weather has finally arrived after a cool and rainy spring. I hope to catch up on blogging this weekend to share a few of our beach days as well as pictures from Memorial Day, several butterfly projects & activities and Grace's end of the year preschool ceremony.
