Our Time Together at Pineland Farms

While Grace and Jack were in school on Friday my Mom, Eve and I spent the day at beautiful Pineland Farms. Here are some pictures of Eve and "Maddy" enjoying their very special time together.

Eve made this beautiful little discovery the other morning. A sure sign of spring despite all of the snow that we still have outside.

Maine Maple Weekend

We look forward to Maine Maple Weekend every year.  This year we went to Pineland Farms to learn all about maple sugaring.  

Getting Ready for Spring!

To welcome the first day of spring tomorrow (hooray!), Eve planted cat grass seeds inside of broken egg shells that she cracked. Eve loved getting her hands into the soil and she said the dirt smelled just like spring! It will be a great learning experience for Eve to watch her grass seeds sprout and grow over the next few days and weeks.

Better Luck Next Time!!!

 So...we woke up on St. Patrick's Day morning and discovered little green footprints all around our home but we were not able to catch the leprechaun in our trap. Plans are already in the works for next year!  I hope everyone had a happy St. Patrick's Day!

A Little Visitor!

Looks like we had a little visitor last night!

Catching a Leprechaun!

 We are ready to catch a leprechaun for St. Patrick's Day tomorrow! Grace, Jack and Eve made and set up their own leprechaun trap tonight. Just before going to bed, they placed their trap at the top of our stairs right outside of their bedroom doors. Unfortunately, we were not able to catch a leprechaun last year but this year our trap is complete with snacks, little sparkly treasures and the lucky leprechaun even has his very own bed and kitchen area! I'll let you know tomorrow if we were able to catch one.

Bowling!

Grace, Jack, Eve and I had a fun time bowling on Friday night and it was for a great cause too...to support our PTA!  Here are some of Jack's impressive bowling moves.

Maple Sugaring

Eve learned all about maple sugaring at Pineland Farms today. I think Eve's favorite part was trying a little sample of their maple syrup!

I Love You

Eve signed "I love you" to me right before she went into her ballet class this morning.  Sweet, sweet girl.
