A Glorious Day of Painting

Grace and Jack enjoyed a day of painting. It started off by painting leaves and ferns to make prints. It ended with many, many pieces of beautiful art to treasure and two very colorful children! Thank goodness for washable paint!

We went on a long walk today to find items in nature that match to the colors we painted in this egg carton. We also did this color search several times last summer ~ it was a big hit then but today it was a HUGE hit with Grace and Jack. They both loved this activity so much that our color nature walk turned into a three hour event! Every item placed into the egg carton has a story behind it and so much thought was put into the choice of each color item.

After Grace's dance recital last weekend we enjoyed spending time together with our families at Fort Williams Park in Cape Elizabeth. Thank you so much to our families for coming to celebrate Grace's first dance recital with us. Having you there with us made the day all the more special.

Last Saturday was the day of Grace's first dance recital. It was a magical day that I will never forget. We were all so proud of our Gracie girl dancing on the big stage in front of hundreds of people. There are more pictures of our beautiful dancer to come!

Memorial Day

The month of May was certainly very busy for our family! We were all so excited this past week for Grace's first dance recital! Most of last week was spent getting ready for Grace's big day! To make Grace's first dance recital all the more special Maddy, Poppy, Memere, Pepere, Auntie Allison, Rose and Kimberlee came to share in the excitement of the special day.

As a result of our trips and special events I am a bit behind on my blogging - I still have a few pictures from our trip to Vermont last week to post, pictures from Grace's dance rehearsal and recital, pictures from the time with our families at Fort Williams Park after the recital and our Memorial Day parade pictures. After that I hope to be back to blogging about our daily activities! I'll begin posting pictures tomorrow. I hope everyone enjoyed their long holiday weekend.
