Fun At The Lake

Gracie girl and I spent most of the morning at the lake across from our house. There is a cute little beach area where Grace enjoyed watching fish swim in the water, throwing rocks & sticks in the water, and watching the fishing boats go by.
Gracie ventured into the water and loved it!
Grace spotted a beautiful yellow butterfly at the beach and she had the best time trying to catch it. Grace talked about the yellow butterfly all during lunch today. It was an exciting morning for us. I can't wait to bring Grace back to the lake after she wakes up from her nap!

I am overjoyed that Grace is such a nature loving girl. There is nothing like learning through nature. Isn't it one thing to see things in books but when you really see them outdoors it is truly special. I can imagine the excitment that Grace felt when see saw the yellow butterfly. She is an intrepid explorer. I love her little feet in the water!

What a lucky girl to live in such beautiful country... One day, fun at the beach and the next a freshwater adventure... Oh, the places you'll go, Gracie Girl! What fun!

What great sensory experiences and appreciation of nature's beauty!
Grace, you have awesome days!
Your Mommy is the best! Right by your side encouraging you to explore and to be wowed by what you notice. What a team!
Daddy is also part of the team, sometimes long distance from Portland, but always loving and boasting about his "girls".
Love to you all,
Memere and Pepere
