Getting Ready for Eve's Birthday...
The evening of December 6, 2015
Grace and Jack had been talking for several weeks before Eve's birthday about getting ready for her special day, which was on January 7! They were both so excited for Eve's birthday. After Eve went to sleep on January 6th, Grace and Jack stayed up late to decorate the staircase with notes, cards and streamers for the birthday girl!

Love
Every morning Jack helps me load wood into the fireplace. This morning as he was putting the wood in he turned to me and said, "Mama, I can't burn this piece of wood...it's a heart for you!" Jack is such a sweet and thoughtful boy.

Bringing the Snow Inside...

Learning to Iron!
Differing Styles...
Sweet Eve
Me: "Good morning, Jack. I have something really exciting to tell you!"
Jack: "Oh my goodness...did scientists discover life form on another planet?"
I am thinking that my "exciting" news of the snow paled a bit in comparison to discovering life on another planet, but nevertheless Jack was excited to get outside to do some shoveling before school that morning!
Snow Dough
It was too cold to go outside and play in the snow earlier this month so Eve made her own snow dough to play with inside.
4 cups of flour + 1/2 cup baby oil = snow dough.
...and that's it! The dough is super soft yet moldable. This has always been one of our favorite sensory activities.
Some Day...
Here were Grace, Jack and Eve watching the older ballerinas practice as they waited for their own dance classes to begin the other week at Maine State Ballet.
