A Better View!

Every morning after Jack wakes up he loves to stand at his window to look outside. There was just one little problem with that this morning. The snow from yesterday's blizzard seems to have blocked his view just a bit!

A Beautiful End to Our Blizzard Day!

We ended our snow day with one final adventure outside followed by some hot cocoa inside. It was the perfect end to our fun-filled blizzard day. The best part was (besides not loosing electricity!) is that we got to do it all again today...school was cancelled today too!

 

A Good Read!

I got a big smile when I looked over at the couch and saw Grace reading this book on our blizzard day!  Oh, how I love this girl.  :)

832 Inches of Snow!

Yesterday afternoon Eve went outside to measure the snow.  According to Eve, 832 inches of snow had already fallen!

Saying Thank You!

Aaron, the plow man, is famous at our house! Grace, Jack and Eve were so excited to see him pull into our driveway for the first of many rounds of plowing yesterday. They each made Aaron a thank you sign and stood at the window holding up their signs for Aaron to see! smile emoticon

Our Second Blizzard Adventure Outside!

This was our second outdoor adventure yesterday during the blizzard.  Eve wasn't quite sure what to think of it all.  She enjoyed watching it from the warmth and safety of the garage. 

 All day long I called Jack my "blizzard boy!"  He loved everything about it!

During the blizzard, Grace was my official snow measurer!  Yesterday morning Grace said we had 12.3 inches of snow (and so much more was yet to come!).

Warming Up By the Fire

We had our first blizzard adventure outside shortly after breakfast yesterday. When we got back inside I had all of the snow gear drying and all three children warming up by the fire!  We went back out for round two a few minutes after this.

I will catch up with my December and January pictures soon but I thought I would start back with my blog by posting pictures from the blizzard!  Jack woke up extra early yesterday to watch the blizzard. The visibility yesterday morning was near zero with all the snow blowing around. Jack was so excited.

Yes, I am still here!  I guess that week of me wanting to catch up with pictures turned into another week and then another and now it's been nearly a month since my last post.  I've been quite busy lately but I will definitely find some time to catch up.   :)

This is how sweet Eve fell asleep last night.

Eve!

This little lady of mine keeps me laughing every day. She has such a big personality that I love so very much! Eve asked to walk her baby outside this morning in the middle of an icy Nor'easter while dressed in a giraffe costume. Eve waved to all of the cars that passed by and told me it was so nice that everyone was looking at her baby in her stroller!
