I will leave you with these pictures of Grace and Jack for a few days, which were taken at Peekaboo Learning Center on Mother's Day. We have had a very busy week getting ready for our trip to Vermont and Florida. We will be leaving Maine to go to Vermont on Friday morning. Bob, Grace, and I will then fly out of the Burlington International Airport on Saturday morning. Jack-a-roo will be staying with Maddy & Poppy until Grace and I fly back to Vermont together on Thursday (oh, how I am going to miss that sweet boy of mine ~ I'm trying not to think about being apart from him for so many days). Daddy will remain in Florida finishing his board retreat until Saturday. We will all be coming back to Maine the following Sunday. I hope to post pictures while we are in the sunny state of Florida!

My Loves

I spent Mother's Day enjoying every little kiss, hug, smile, laugh with the loves of my life ~ Grace, Jack and Bob. I am the luckiest Mommy to be able to spend every day at home with my two beautiful children. They bring me such indescribable joy and happiness.

I wish Maddy & Memere an extra special Mother's Day. You are both tremendous role models. Thank you for being such amazing mothers and grandmothers to Grace and Jack.

A Very Special Gift

Jack sometimes takes a morning nap after a busy morning of learning, reading and playing. Grace often misses Jack during his nap time and she frequently asks me if she can make him a special present while he is sleeping. Grace's presents for Jack typically consist of pieces of paper that she thoughtfully and carefully decorates. Grace gathers all of her supplies needed to create her present and she spreads them out all over our dining room table. Grace's supplies usually consist of all of her stickers, markers, colored pencils, crayons, paint, ribbon, hole punchers, dot markers, glue, and stamps!! Grace carefully chooses a piece of paper that she says Jack would love and proceeds to decorate it for him. There is so much thought put into Grace's decorated pieces of paper. Grace carefully discusses each detail with me as she is creating. Once her present is complete, Grace often wraps Jack's gift in sheets & sheets of tissue paper using yards & yards of tape! It warms my heart to watch Grace as she is creating something so special for her brother. I am filled with complete happiness when Jack wakes up from his nap and he discovers and unwraps the best gift in the entire world from his big sister!
The unwrapping.

All you need is a little.....

...shaving cream, also known as "cloud paint" in our family, to have a rockin' good time!!!!!! Happy Boy's Day sweet Jack-a-roo!

Cloud Paint

Grace has always loved "cloud paint" since she was teeny tiny too. It is always a full body experience from head to toe!

Grace had just as much fun cleaning up from the cloud paint!

Dandelion Flower Prints

It is a spring tradition for Grace to make dandelion flower prints. Grace first started making dandelion prints when she was just sixteen months old! Grace made yellow dandelion prints today by dipping dandelions into yellow paint and pressing them onto white paper. Grace mixed things up a bit this year by making purple flower prints too (her favorite color!). I have always loved watching Grace making these ~ she gets very excited and her flower prints always turn out so pretty and so perfectly spring!
