Celebrating Earth Day

Happy Earth Day!   Did you know that Earth Day is the largest, most celebrated environmental event worldwide?!  Ever year over 100 different countries join together in the celebration of Earth Day.  We celebrated today by painting paper plates globes.  We discussed in detail what Earth day is about and various ways we can help to protect our environment and world.

Here is Gracie girl painting her Earth.

Here is Jack painting Earth.

Jack getting the glitter ready to make his Earth extra sparkly!

We also made this planet Earth banner.  Grace, Jack and Eve used green and blue food coloring to color coffee filters.  Once the coffee filters dried we made this Earth Day banner and hung it in the windows of our kitchen.

Here is Eve using a pipette to color the coffee filters.

Happy Earth Day!

Yeah for the Legers who know how to celebrate in style. Beautifully done banner and Earth pictures created with pizazz, what a great way to commemorate Earth Day.

Educating them young as to the gift that is the planet Earth gives us hope that they and others will be grateful and environmentally responsible citizens. I think that their generation are going to do a good job caring for their natural inheritance because they are being taught of its beauty and fragility.

Love to each of you,
Memere
