Mary's Walk

Grace, Jack, Rebecca and Bob were honored to participate in the 13th Mary's Walk in Saco, Maine on Sunday, March 28th. Mary's Walk was originated to honor Mary Kerry Libby's courageous battle with cancer and to raise money to continue advances in research and prevention of cancer. Memere, Pepere, Auntie Allison, and cousins Rose and Kimberlee are pictured above braving the cold weather to cheer on the runners and walkers. The signs inspired one of the walkers to share a story of how her husband's life was saved by a clinical trial funded by events such as Mary's Walk.
Bob's credit union, Town & Country, had more than 20 employees, friends, and family members participate and raise more than $7,500. The team was led by our good friend Brady dog.
Grace rode "up up" most of the 2.5 miles to gain a premier vantage point and to navigate a proper course for the Town & Country group.
Jack rode in style the entire way with Grace occasionally popping in to provide morale support.
The Town & Country group were inspired by one of our employees who continues to courageously fight cancer after many years of chemo, pills, and inspiration. Above, John was honored by a big poster signed by all of the participants expressing how much we care for and admire him.

I am full of so many emotions...sadness and happiness, joy and sorrow but the signs say it all HOPE and BELIEVE. Perfect words, Memere, Pepere, Auntie Allison, Rose and Kimberlee. Having a Dad who has been sick for months now, I live by these words.

What an experience for your family. What a story. What wonderful folks. What people can do as they reach out and help others.

Thank you for sharing this and thank you for making a difference. Its time like these and people like you that make us all stop and pause and think how lucky we are to live our beautiful lives.
Hug those sweet children of yours even tighter today and every day,
Love, Maddy
