Grace & Jack Build A Fort!

We built a fort in our living room this morning! We took two of our dining room table chairs and covered them with a blanket. We also gathered several other blankets and pillows to put under the fort to make it even more cozy. Grace, Jack, and I spent the entire morning playing under our fort together. We read lots of great books, played hide and seek, and flashlight play. Grace took a "nap" (pretend play) under the fort with Ella and all of her doll friends. Later, Jack took his nap under the fort too! This was so much fun for us and it is something that we will definitely do again.

What a sensational idea! What a happy, comfy, and cozy place to send a January morning. I love it. It must have been lots of fun. When the children are older, you'll all have to spend the night in the fort! Rebecca, you always have the best nurturing and delightful ideas.
Love and all nice things,
Maddy

This definitely reminds me of my Boy Scout days camping outside in tents. Hopefully when Maddy and I visit soon we can share in the fun of tent time. Until then have fun playing under the fort blanket.

The Legers of Limerick, ME have such wonderful adventures... When it's too snowy and cold outside, they bring the fun inside! What fun! Jack looks so relaxed after his day of "camping"... I know Maddy and Uncle Adam will enjoy experiences in the fort next week... Looking forward to the photos!

Building a fort is lie having your own private place in the world. I can see why you expect to do this again and again. The possible adventures under its canopy are endless, at least for you, Rebecca and Grace. You have wonderful imaginations and creativity.
