Look How I'm Spending My Winter, Michaela!

Michaela is Grace's second cousin. Michaela lives in Delaware and she also has a blog. Earlier today we checked Michaela's blog to find beautiful new pictures of Michaela playing outside on her new bike. We were quite surprised to see grass ~ there wasn't a single flake of snow on the ground!!!! We wanted to share some of our Maine winter pictures with Michaela. We know our friends and family in Vermont & Massachusetts probably have lots of snowy pictures just like these. We are expecting another very big snow storm tonight and all day tomorrow (it's actually snowing right now). It's also supposed to snow for the next seven days. Michaela, can you send some of your warm weather up this way?!?! :)
Here Grace is playing in a huge snow pile that is directly in front of our house. Daddy had to shovel all the snow off of our roof, which left several piles like these in front of our house! Grace looks a little stunned here. We just told her that we are expecting another ten inches of snow tomorrow!!!Here are the snow banks on our road. Some of them are as tall as eight feet!!!

Dear Grace,

WOW. You sure have a lot of snow up there. We had a little dusting of snow this winter and I went out with Daddy to look at it, but NOTHING compared to what you have. Thank you for sharing the Cool Winter pictures from your house in Maine. Enjoy playing in the snow.

Love,

Michaela

Hi Grace....you sure do have a lot of snow. Are your schools open there? I have a goofy class this year and would love to have a snow day, but don't think we will get it. Oh well. You sure do look cute in your snow suit and I still see a big beautiful smile on your face so guess you are still having fun. Have you made any snow ice cream? Let me know. Have a great time playing in the snow. I love seeing your pictures too.
Love you,
Aunt Melinda

Dearest Grace,
Here is a little "snow" poem for you.

The Mitten Song

"Thumbs in the thumb-place,
Fingers all together!"
This is the song
we sing in mitten weather.

I think that you are as cute as a button in the deep snow. Just think we're getting more!
Winter is "snow" much fun,
I Love You Snow Fairy,
Your Maddy XO
