What a Big Girl!

After our swimming lesson this morning, Grace and I spent the afternoon together at the Children's Museum. It struck me today as I was watching Grace play what a big girl she is and how grown up she seems now. Rather than playing in the baby/young toddler play area, Grace chooses to spend most of her time "shopping" at the grocery store within the museum. Grace found all of her favorite fruits and vegetables and put them in her very own shopping basket. Grace also picked apples from the apple tree and put them into her basket too....and she did all of these things all by herself! Grace also enjoyed interacting with the older children in the grocery store area and proudly told everyone that she had "apple" and "nah-nah-nah" (bananas). Grace even approached an older boy who was holding an apple and said, "peas," (please) to ask him if she could have his apple too. On our car ride home, I asked Grace if she had fun at the museum and she replied, "apple," "nah-nah-nah" and "bah" (ball) - all of the things she played with today at the museum. Grace continues to amaze me each day!

Grace truly is amazing. Daddy is so proud of Rebecca for her tireless work and play with Grace as well as Grace's ability to retain an unbelievable amount of information for such a wee person. I can't wait to get home each night to see what new words or signs Grace has learned. I love you both.

Dearest Grace,
A day swimming and then "shopping" in the produce section at the Children's Museum...who could ask for anything more! We are also struck by how big you are getting. I am very glad that you are enjoying your fruits and vegetables so much. Wait until Uncle Adam reads this about you! Poppy and I are just counting our days until we come to see you for Thanksgiving and your 1st birthday party! We want to hear all your new words and see all of your new signs. You continue to amaze us over and over again.
Love You More Than All the Fruits & Vegetables in Maine & Vermont!
