"I'll Take One of Everything Please!"

We enjoyed a fun family trip to L.L. Bean today ~ it was the debut of their Northern Lights display, which consisted of an incredible display of lights throughout the L.L. Bean grounds, as well as activity and product demonstrations, crafts for kids, a 40-foot Christmas tree, ice carvings, life-sized gingerbread characters, and carolers. Grace loved walking around L.L. Bean and she gathered quite the collection of items throughout the store along the way......the girl can shop!! Grace was in awe of all of the beautiful Christmas trees and lights. As seen here, Grace closely examined the lights on the Christmas trees. The advertisements stated that there were 50 Christmas trees throughout the grounds and we think Grace pointed out 49! We also enjoyed seeing L.L. Beans new 15-foot fish tank. Daddy excitedly pointed out a rainbow trout to Grace. Grace momentarily looked perplexed. A few seconds later Grace turned, pointed, and said, "What Daddy? Do you mean an oncorhynchus mykiss?"

It looks like you had a fun family day at LLBean. We love the way that Grace finds every little thing that she want to investigate a little closer. Wow, Grace is really going to like Christmas this year. Decorations glore! We are loving having a grandchild to share Christmas with! First, Thanksgiving, then Grace's First Birthday Party, next, Grace's actual birthday on December 2nd, family parties, and finally Christmas. Let the good times roll...Grace will think that it is just one party after another! I'm glad that she will have some new toys to play with(and Mommy LOVES new toys for Grace, too)to keep her busy through the long winter in Maine!

I just love when Grace explores a new environment and out instantly comes her inquisitive pointer finger. Nothing escapes her curious eye! She must have been quite the showstopper at LLBean. I would have loved just walking behind her and have her point interesting objects out and listen to her talk about them. Rebecca thank you again for the blue wool shirt you purchased for me last year at LLBean. It is very warm. We are closing in on Grace's first birthday. In my mind I imagine Grace saying "If they think my first year was amazing, just wait until they see what I can do during my next year!"
Love, Uncle Adam

Uh, Oh, Grace has discovered the wide open spaces of the stores. Grace, next you'll explore under the racks and over the things piled on the floor. What adventures! So much to see and explore! Mommy and Daddy will be the searchers, trying to find their curious precious one.
Love to you all,
Memere and Rose

Got Gracie, Jack & Eve?
