Total Happiness!

From the looks of it, Grace couldn't have been any happier spending her eight week birthday with her Maddy & Poppy in Middlebury, Vermont. We are quite certain that Maddy & Poppy feel the same way too! They are madly in love with their "Gracie girl."

We had the most wonderful weekend ever with Bob, Rebecca and Grace. Bob and Rebecca went out for a nice dinner and let us watch Grace for 2 whole hours...all by ourselves. All went well during that time :-D (Grace, just like I told you,"What happens while Daddy&Mommy are away, stays with us! ssshhh) Grace slept very nicely, had a great bubble bath, and finally got to meet Great Grandma and Great Pop Pop! We all smiled when we watched Grace get her baby massage by her wonderful Mommy. And how we laughed as we watched Daddy sing the song "Gracie" to Grace! He is such a funny Daddy. Willie and Lilly were so glad to meet Grace, too. They treated her like a new sister! How lucky we were to have Grace come to our home for the first time...over the river and through the woods (over the mountains, too)...Come back again real soon. We All Love Our Baby Gracie Girl, Your Maddy xoxoxo

And Oh Yes, we Loved having Bob and Rebecca here, too!! How much fun it is to watch them be such amazing, patient, caring and loving parents. There is something so special about seeing your daughter with HER daughter!

I agree! The picture is wonderful of Maddy and Poppy. And of course the amazing Grace. I am a blog "lurker", from The Great State of Vermont. I have been looking at all the pictures and I think Grace is absolutely beautiful. I am a new Grandmother, too. And I know Maddy couldn't be more proud. You make a nice family and having grandchildren is wonderful. Take good care of each other.

Wow, such great pictures. It was neat to hear Rebecca say that she sees so much of her mom in Grace....because I do too. I love seeing the big smile on Grace's face. Her Poppy is just beaming. Grace, your grandparents are too cool. They will spoil you rotten just like I do to Michaela and Maddy is right, what happens at the grandparent's house stays at the grandparents's house. You are a beautiful little girl. Can't wait to see you this summer. Hopefully at Robert's wedding.
Love,
Great Aunt Melinda

Looking at these photos of Grace and imagining all of the wonderful new discoveries she will have I am reminded of a classic song from John Lennon about his son Sean. "Beautiful Boy (Darling Boy)" It begins with John comforting his son from a nightmare and develops into describing the love he has for his son and the joy Sean gave him. He sings the lines "Every day in every way/It's getting better and better". I also like the "I can hardly wait to see you come of age, but I guess we will both have to be patient..." sentiment he sings. When you get a little older I will tell you about the four lads from Liverpool, however as John said "Life is what happens to you while you're busy making other plans." Love, Uncle Adam
