Grace & Jack had their first piano recital on Wednesday evening. It was a beautiful recital and I am incredibly proud of Grace and Jack and for all that they have learned over the past year.
Jack was first to perform. He played the Indian Song by Faber & Faber. He did such an amazing job. I especially loved how Jack looked out into the audience during his piece to smile at us (he had his piece memorized so instead of looking at the music he looked out at us). Grace played two duets. The first duet was with another little girl. They played Copy Cat by Carol Matz. Grace also played Over the Rainbow with her piano teacher, Mrs. Jalbert. I am always in awe of how quickly Grace learns and her ability to play the piano has been no exception.
Here is Grace and Mrs. Jalbert playing their duet together.

I really love the expression on Mrs. Jalbert's face in this picture as she watches Jack perform his piece.

Here is Jack finding his music just before he performed.
I took this picture of Grace reading the program after the recital. Grace has always loved reading the names of people in programs. She was very happy to read her name and Jack's name in this one!
