The Scarborough Marsh Section of the Eastern Trail

On Friday afternoon we enjoyed a beautiful walk together along the Scarborough Marsh section of the Eastern Trail.  Grace's school district organized a nature scavenger hunt for families to participate in along the trail.  We had the best time finding a variety of nature items during our walk.  More pictures coming soon!

Sweet Dreams

Here is Eve sitting in her bed for the first time!  Eve couldn't wait to be done with her bath that evening so she could try out her new bed.  She was so excited!

I asked Eve to show me how she would go to sleep in her bed and this is what she did!

Eve's bed started out in our yard!  Bob painted it white and it remained outside for a few days to fully dry.  Eve, Grace and Jack all thought this was quite funny.

Here is a picture of Eve (and Petey cat!).  This was the last time that Eve was in her crib.

Eve's Big Girl Bed!

Here is Eve's big girl bed!  Eve transitioned from her crib to her bed earlier this month and she LOVES it.  I have pictures of Eve in her bed coming soon.  Happy Friday!

Jack's First Day of Preschool!

Jack started preschool at the beginning of September.  He goes to a Montessori school on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday mornings.  Up until this time he has been home with me.  Every day when I pick Jack up I love how he greets Eve and I.  Jack drops whatever it is that he is doing at the time and comes running to us with a big hug ready!  On the ride home from school each day I ask Jack what he enjoyed most at school that morning.  His response is always the same, "Everything, mama!"

Happy Weekend!

Wishing everyone a lovely weekend!

Grace & Eve

Every few weeks at Grace's school they have "late starts," where the teachers meet for a few hours and the children arrive to school mid-morning.  After dropping Jack off at preschool on Wednesday, Grace, Eve and I had an hour together before Grace had to be at school.  Since the beach is located just down the road from Grace's school, we enjoyed a morning at the beach.  As we were there together I kept thinking what a treat it was for us to be able to have a mini beach day on a school morning!  I am still trying to squeeze in as many beach days as possible before the weather turns colder.

Grace is the best big sister to Eve.  She is so kind and sweet and Eve absolutely adores Grace.  These two girls of mine are so cute together!

These days I usually find Grace upside down cartwheeling or hand standing!!!

Happy Friday!

Eve's Very First Soccer Practice!

Eve had her very first soccer practice on Tuesday.  Her team is called the "Mini Kicks" and watching the practice may be one of the cutest things that I have seen in a long time!  The team is designed for 2 1/2 - 4 year old children who live in Scarborough.  Eve is the youngest player on the team.  The practice lasted a total of 45 minutes and I think the children had at least 20 water breaks during that time!  :)

Eve's stance.

I'm finding that Eve frequently stands with her hands behind her back with some of her fingers entwined.

Eve practicing dribbling the soccer ball.

This, by far, was my favorite part of practice to watch....stretching!  It was so, so cute.  As you can see, Eve took this very seriously, which only added to the cuteness factor!!!

More stretching...   :)

...and even more stretching to get ready to play some serious soccer!

Eve is just about ready to make her first goal.  She was very focused - after a water break, of course!  You can see her water bottle at her feet.

At the end of practice Eve and her teammates came together to cheer on their hard-working and well hydrated Mini Kicks team!
