Day 6 Of Our Trip to Vermont: Horseback Riding

In the picture above, Grace is riding a horse named Rockstar while Jack looks on and excitedly waits for his turn (what a gentleman he was to let Grace go first!).  What is even more amazing is that the lady guiding the horse in blind...more to come.

Day 6 Of Our Trip to Vermont: The Eddy Horse Farm

Grace and Jack had such an amazing experience at the Eddy Horse Farm on our last full day in Vermont.  I will be posting more pictures tomorrow of our time there with additional information about this beautiful place, the people who work there and the horses.

Day 3 Of Our Trip to Vermont: Jack at the Festival on the Green

I love this picture of Jack, which was taken at the Festival on the Green as he watched one of the performers warming up on stage just before the show began!

Day 3 Of Our Trip to Vermont: Volunteering at the Festival on the Green

Grace volunteered to work at the Festival on the Green for a few days this year.  Grace was the youngest volunteer there but she took charge and did an excellent job working the crowd!  Grace loved wearing a Festival on the Green apron and name tag.

Here is Grace getting ready for her volunteer job!

Can you spot Grace working in the picture above?!!

Grace asked the director of the Festival if she could work every day next year...they can't wait to have her back!

 Poppy!!!
Poppy introduced one of the Brown Bag performers at the Festival this year!  He did a great job with his introduction in front of hundreds in the audience.

Day 2 Of Our Trip To Vermont: Grace Performs at the Festival on the Green!

Two years ago, when Grace was three years old, she performed with Gary Dulabaum at Middlebury's Festival on the Green.  Gary remembered Grace and he asked to talk with her before his performance to see if she would join him on stage once again to sing!  Grace was SO EXCITED!

In the picture above, Grace is telling Gary that she would like to sing You're A Grand Old Flag.  Gary and Rik accompanied Grace with their guitars as she sang loud and clear to hundreds of onlookers in the audience!

I love how confidently Grace reaches for the microphone and adjusts it to her level in this picture!

Grace did an amazing job singing in front of hundreds of people at the Festival.  She is such a poised and confident girl and we are all so very proud of her!

Day 2 Of Our Trip to Vermont: Middlebury's Festival on the Green

Every July we go to Middlebury to visit Maddy and Poppy during the Festival on the Green week.  This is a week that we look forward to all year!  A big part of the festival is the "Brown Bag" concert series, which takes place under a tent in downtown Middlebury's green.  The "Brown Bag" series features performers designed for families and they are presented every day at noon.  Festival-goers bring a picnic lunch while enjoying shows filled with music, dance, storytelling, puppetry and magic.

In the picture above, Grace and Jack dance to the music of Gary Dulabaum & Rik Barron while Eve watches from the best seat under the tent!

The picture above shows Jack intently watching Gary & Rik perform!

Day 2 Of Our Trip to Vermont: The Ilsley Public Library

Last Monday morning we went to one of our favorite libraries.  We love everything about the Ilsley library in Middlebury.  It is so child friendly and there are always so many enriching activities to choose from each day.  We enjoyed playing, looking at books, making crafts and participating in an Itsy Bitsy Yoga class together!!

Jack loved playing with the trains at the train table.

What made this day extra, extra, extra special was that Uncle Adam spent the day with us!   It was so special for me to share the day with my brother!

Jack, Grace and Maddy enjoyed making beaded ornaments together.

Eve was fascinated with all of the colorful fish in the fish tank!

Thank you so much to Maddy for the coordinating yellow and blue outfits.  They are adorable!

Got Gracie, Jack & Eve?
